LÖB HA-LEVI OF BRODY:
Galician rabbi of the beginning of the nineteenth century; held office first at Podhajce, then at Brody. Among his contemporaries was Ephraim Zalman Margaliot, chief rabbi of Brody, in whose "Bet Efrayim" occurs a responsum of Löb's. He was the author of "Leb Arych" (Lemberg, 1820), a commentary on Ḥullin.
