OHOLIAB (A. V. Aholiab):

(Redirected from AHOLIAB.)

Son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan; contemporary of Moses. He was appointed by God ("and I, behold, I have given," Ex. xxxi. 6) to work with Bezaleel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, in the construction of the Tabernacle (ib. xxxv. 34; xxxvi. 1, 2). Oholiab was "an engraver, and a cunning workman, and an embroiderer in blue, and in purple, and in scarlet, and fine linen" (ib. xxxviii. 23).
