SIMEON OF MIZPAH:

Tanna of the first generation; contemporary of R. Gamaliel I., together with whom he went to the bet din in the hall of hewn stone in order to learn a decision regarding the corner of the field ("pe'ah"; Pe'ah ii. 6). He is said to have made a collection of halakot referring to the services in the Temple on the Day of Atonement("Seder Yoma"; Yoma 14b).
