BELIN, ELIJAH BEN MOSES II (or BLIN):

German Talmudist; died at Worms Feb. 26, 1587, having taken an active part in the affairs of the Jewish community in that city. A manuscript copy is extant (Neubauer, "Cat. Bodl. Hebr. MSS." No. 2184) of a disputation in the form of question and answer which Belin had with Naphtali Herz ben Gersom of Worms. The controversy dates from 5338 (= 1578), and is partly transcribed in Judæo-German.
