BONDI, MORDECAI   (print this article)

German author; lived at Dresden in the first quarter of the nineteenth century. He wrote, together with his brother Simon Bondi, the "Or Ester," a Hebrew dictionary of the Latin words occurring in the Talmud, Targumim and Midrashim. Some of his essays are also extant in the periodical "Jedidja" (i. 117-125; iii. 72, 196; iv. 35).
